AIRBIOTECH offers products and services specifically dedicated to biological air treatment: bio-filtration, bioscrubbing and biotrickling. It offers technical assistance to industries encountering performance loss on existing biodegradation/biofiltration equipment or willing to install cost-effective and biological technologies for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) or odours control.

The products of the spin-off consist in “tailor-made” microbial inocula (or “cocktails”) for a selective bioaugmentation of industrial equipments at start-up phase or for process optimization purposes. Bioaugmentation refers to supplying biofiltration beds with microbial consortia of selected strains. The biological formulations are adapted to qualitative and quantitative specifications of industrial gaseous effluent.

This selective approach ensures high performance in the degradation of Volatile Organic Compounds, odorous compounds and/or complex VOC mixtures; it allows the size reduction of newly dimensioned equipments. Strain selection is achieved on
basis of prior pollution analysis and following in-depth biodegradation pathways analysis in order to ensure complete mineralization of VOC.

In terms of services, the company offers technical and scientific support in the maintenance of biological treatment equipments integrating all process parameters to ensure optimal microbial activity and high degradation performance.
